After a considerable amount of research and development we are ecstatic to announce the new "Hinderer Armorer's Kit/Strider (HAK/S)".  Calling a small tool like this a "kit" might sound a little overboard, but trust us... there is more to this kit than the keychain-like first impression!

Hinderer's manufacturing methods are second to none.  Utilizing state of the art CnC machinery and CAD/CAM technology we have no doubt this will be the smallest and most well thought out tool of its type that you will ever own.

Constructed of 174PH hardened stainless steel, the features you see from the outside are the spanner near the ring that exactly fits any of the Strider folders or fixed blades with the proprietary oversized "bull pivot".  Most commonly those include the Strider AR/GB's, SMF's, RC/RCC's, SnG's folders as well as a number of Strider fixed blades like the EB and CP series.  The knurled end cap has the 1/8th inch hex wrench on the outside.

The idea is simply that you unscrew the cap and insert and the spanner onto the spanner side and the hex on opposite side.  With a little leverage you can  tighten or loosen / remove the pivot pin.  Rick even thought to put a small hole in the end cap to make a field-expedient T-wrench should you need even more leverage.  From there removing the screws that hold the scales in place is done with the replaceable T10 Torx bit that's secured with a small rare earth magnet.  That same T10 Torx is used extensively on most Strider fixed blades that have G10 scales too, so your able to remove scales with that same bit.  Now cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining your Strider is easily accomplished.

All this with one small self-contained tool that will easily fit into your gun cleaning kit or any other small storage compartment should you choose not to do the obvious and just dummy-cord it onto your gear. I've found that it even fits easily into a small OTIS Deluxe kit which is pretty much general issue to all military units and is about the size of a hockey puck.

Words of wisdom...

Prior to taking apart your Strider, I highly recommend you have some idea of what you are doing and not just dive in.
